No Good New Release Blues

Just when you thought nothing good hit the stores this week...yeah, you were right. Good thing there's stuff like this to fall back on. These songs were recorded in the 1920's, and it sounds like it, but the music is timeless.

Blind Blake mp3s from Ragtime Guitar's Foremost Fingerpicker:

Come On Boys Let's Do That Messin' Around

Police Dog Blues

Awwwww, I always always love your blues & jazz selections. Classic! Oh and I got complimented on my Jason Moran knowledge, apparently he got chosen as Playboy Artist of the Year or something? Naturally you can guess the gender of the person who gave the compliment.

I think all I had to say about this week's releases, which I spied on another music blog, was, "Shit another Bob Marley compilation set?"

Thank you, arethusa. The blues & jazz posts are the easiest. There's just so much to choose from.

I had no idea about Jason Moran as Playboy Artist of the Year. Did they get a photo of him playing piano with a Ms. Whatever Month on it?

And yeah, Marley overkill.

Well hey, I don't "read" that magazine so I don't now anything about the pictures of him.
