Military Retailers vs. Fahrenheit 9/11?

Nope. Though this news story would have you believe so.

AAFES is an organization managed by savvy business people, who are certainly not ignorant of the fact that military personnel will see the movie at their local theaters, and get the DVD from their local Blockbusters, Targets, and Wal-Marts or online sources. Democratic servicemembers will watch the movie and love it, Republican servicemembers will watch it and hate it. But my point is: we'll watch it, whether or not AAFES shows or carries it.

Mr Canowine;

I'm buying Fahrenheir 9/11 when it comes out.
I don't know that the love/hate relationship will depend on the servicemember being repubican or Democrat. I think the majority of the military folks will take it for its real worth a parody of political nuances - If it makes me laugh I will watch it.
I buy all the new DVDs coming out and then never get to watch them but this one genuinely sounds funny-071646

Anonymous,

Now, there's something revolutionary: going into a movie with a sense of humor. I think we could all use a little lightening up, especially the crazies in the Yahoo! message boards.

I'm watching it for the laughs, too.

Mr Canowine;

It was great being on your blog - I wanted to see how good an analyst you were - did you pay close attention to the 6 digit number at the end of the message I posted. When the movie comes out that person that wrote this will probably have it at his house un-opened-By the way my favorite singer are - besides
Toby Keith and Tina Turner:
Beck REM Beatles Pixies Frank Black Robert Johnson Mississippi John Hurt Sonic Youth Ramones Yo La Tengo Radiohead Velvet Underground Dylan Weezer White Stripes Magnetic Fields PJ Harvey more more...

OK - you got me.

I had a great evening because of this - You got some good articles there - keep the cranial intellectualism flowing.

As your dad once said: There is a use for everything; useless as it may seem; but if you use it profusely it will never be seen. You have now see me at maximum profundity. (PS-Dont tell nobody who your dad is)
