Bloc Party at the Electric Factory...

Believe me, you can still rely on the guys to light a crowd on fire. They came to Philly with a purpose, which was to give themselves away to the audience, and get the audience to give itself away to the band. I'm still on the post-show buzz, but I daresay that tonight's show was one of the best concerts that ever was. If you were there, please comment or email with agreements or disagreements.

agree, they were totally on point, the music sounded better than the studio albums, kele connected with the crowd, and everyone went insane.

i'm sure it was on the setlist, but even so, bloc party's decision to play 'this modern love' last was brilliant, we were all screaming for them to play it in the front-mid after 'ares.' best night of my life, best way to spend an 18th birthday.

Wish you were there too, Julie!

Anon3 - Happy 18th!! You know, I started to wonder if maybe the band started to get tired of playing that song and they were going to move on from it (though they did that recent acoustic version for blogotheque)...sooooo glad they played it.

Anon2 - yeah, LOVED that transition. It was Arcade Fire-ish.

Anon1, so much more on the attack live.
